Composite extensions to correct lingually displaced mandibular canines (in photos)

Left side of the mouth. 304 is slightly lingually displaced. (303 is contacting 203 however the owner did not want 203 extracted)

Tooth 404 was significantly lingually displaced (more so than tooth 304). The right upper incisor 103 was deviating laterally and had to be extracted to make space for 404 to grow into.

Check up 2 weeks later. The suture is still in the gum where 103 was removed.

Tooth 304 is growing well into the diastema between 203 and 204

5 weeks after the operation. Canine tooth 104 has grown a lot in the last 4 weeks! 404 is now growing into the correct position.

304 has also grown into the correct position
6 weeks after acrylic composites were placed the teeth are in the correct occlusion. A small amount of composite has been left to ensure the gum is cleared laterally. This will wear away with time and is not causing discomfort. The composite was also removed from 304 which is in the correct position.
