10 month old Chihuahua. Multiple deciduous teeth were extracted. Notice that the mesial mandibular molar tooth root is very close to the mandibular cortex. If this tooth were to be extracted in the future and not X-rayed before hand then a likely complication (assuming periodontitis as the reason for extraction) would be jaw fracture. Note also that tooth 607 (deciduous premolar) has one root that has not undergone resorption and that the permanent premolar 207 has not developed.
